Finalist in National Geographic Contest

Hi everyone, I am excited to let you know that this photograph of the door at Pfeiffer Beach has been selected as finalist in the National Geographic Energizer contest.
The next stage will be a voting phase, the grand prize winner will be determined by public vote.
I hope that if you like this photograph that you will vote for it!
I will post more info on how to do just that as soon as I get it!
Voting will start on August 14th, 2009.
Thanks everyone on AM3--I really believe that I am the photographer i am today in part because of the comments, support and suggestions from all of you!

I know that this place is your "Holy Grail" Honestly I was shocked to get the news, I just figured what the heck I'll throw a couple in and see what happens, then forgot all about it! Unbelievable! I really love your shot with the sand in the foreground, I think that it gives a better sense of place, and it feels nice and grounded. It is every bit as deserving :)

Thank you! This is at Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur, well worth a trip down to see it if you've never been there. The light shines through like this around the winter solstice- and as you can imagine there are a lot of photographers there waiting for this to happen :)
