Pebble Beach TreePosted by Tracy (La Selva Beach, United States) on 21 May 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. The wedding is over, the kids are off on their honeymoon, and all of our guests have gone home. I miss my sister already! The wedding was beautiful, and nothing went wrong at all! Almost a year of planning and preparation went into it! I will post a few images when I get some back.... This is an old image, but I like the moody feel of it... Please visit my website: http://www.tracyhagen-naturalvision.com I may not be able to respond to all comments, but I read and appreciate every one of them. I am currently attending classes at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, in the Photography department. I hope to someday make photography a full time profession. Thanks for viewing my blog. Please do not use my images without permission.

DaveB from Exeter, United KingdomThis is lovely, great sense of movement in the water and lovely framing 21 May 2009 11:03am @DaveB: Thanks Dave! Looking at this image now, I think it is a bit cliched, but I still like it :) Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, CanadaMoody is the perfect embodiment of this picture! Glad to hear that the wedding went off without a hitch and that now you can get back to a normal life...... ;-)) 21 May 2009 12:18pm @Eric Cousineau: thanks Eric! I am very happy to have some time to myself now! :) Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesThis is just gorgeous! I like everything about it. 21 May 2009 5:19pm john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesSuperb photograph. Simply outstanding. 21 May 2009 5:22pm Scott Schilling from San Martin, United StatesTracy, a magnificent composition on this one - it is always so difficult for me to compose these types of shots and know where to cut things off - like trees and branches - this is done to perfection in this image! Now I will have to attend your composition seminar! 21 May 2009 5:52pm @Scott Schilling: Ha, Ha! Thank You! I don't have any personal rules for this type of photo, just what "feels" right to me :) I know that doesn't help, but I am sure you know what I mean! If I think about it a bit, I would have to say that I leave most of the trunk (at least 2/3) and enough of the branches to frame my main subject, or give the feeling I want--More heavy=get rid of more of the tiny, wispy stuff...Anyway, I don't think you need any help in the composition department from my view of things! Also, I hope to make it out to the Mushroom Mardi-Gras on Saturday....Good luck, and hope you get some good sales! Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, CanadaWow. Magnificent. Your timed exposure was perfect for this shot. 5 stars. I'll join Scott in that seminar. 21 May 2009 6:37pm @Lee: Thanks, Lee. You guys are too nice! romine from Bucharest, Romaniaexcellent capture. i just love how that tree frames the shot on the right side. well done 21 May 2009 8:17pm Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesLovely, Tracy. Best wishes for restoration during your time off. Beautiful. 22 May 2009 2:17am Jen from St. George, United StatesCongrats on the wedding, and on having it finally be over! Enjoy a few days of R&R! I really like this image... it does feel a bit "moody." And that's a really great tree! 22 May 2009 3:50am GJC from Kyoto (京都), JapanA superb composition. I especially like how the right edge has the high element and the left edge is anchored lower down so we get a diagonal across the plane. Very well done. and the minimal colors, too -- oh my. 24 May 2009 3:21am Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaLovely shot, Tracy. You have such a great eye for composition, and you know how to capture a mood to perfection. 24 May 2009 10:58pm |
