LauraS from Chico, United StatesWow. Great shot. Mystical water. Thanks for for the translation. Cool shot. 19 Apr 2009 5:48am @LauraS: Thanks Laura! I really don't like tics, but I seem to spend a lot of time where theylive :) Scott Schilling from San Martin, United StatesTracy - beautiful! I love the light on the water in this one - just great! This is one of my favorite spots along the Garrapata area! That is a lot of ticks - I will have to keep my eye out better! 19 Apr 2009 6:39am @Scott Schilling: Thank you Scott-After the wedding I will see what a little more post processing does for this one. The day that I shot this I had done a bit of exploring- Further to the right, when you are standing at this spot, there is a liitle trail that goes down into a small ravine- that's where I "found" all the ticks! You probably already do this, but it is always good to tuck your shirt in before you leave :) @Allan Clark: Thanks Allan! Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesThis is gorgeous; the water is magical. Nice work. 19 Apr 2009 8:01am @Steve Rice: Thanks Steve, the sun had been down for a while, so that allowed for the long shutter speed :) Marie from perth, AustraliaBeautiful shot Tracy, the water looks very angry but still amazing. Ticks are not the nicest eh! glad you found them all. 19 Apr 2009 8:07am @Marie: I think there are still a few out there, Yuck! I hope I don't find those too! Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, CanadaThanks for reminding me of what I'll have to look forward to. Ticks, I hate em. Great shot BTW. Perfect exposure. 19 Apr 2009 12:43pm Tracy from La Selva Beach, United StatesYeah, me too- tick season is staring up here in earnest although with our climate they are around all year long. On this trip I found several of the very tiny ones...UUUGGG! luckily they were only on my clothes & not yet on me :) They don't stop me from getting out and enjoying the outdoors, though! 19 Apr 2009 12:55pm Bethany from Michigan, United StatesI like how misty the shot looks with all the colors. Great capture. 19 Apr 2009 2:42pm Mariana from waterloo, CanadaLight on a water and colors are just amazing ! Brilliant shot ! 19 Apr 2009 2:48pm john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesWonderful, dreamlike quality. And, whoa! No ticks here --- yet! But it won't be long. 19 Apr 2009 5:08pm Lesley from Lincoln, United StatesGreat shot, but I'm not sure I'd go for it if 8 ticks are involved. Shudder!!! 20 Apr 2009 1:46am DarkElf from Perth, Australiagreat shot with lovely light reflecting off the water and excellent 10 sec exposure to get the smooth effect too! 20 Apr 2009 4:46am MontereyJohn from Salinas, California, United StatesHmmm, 10 second exposure, that works! Nicely done! 20 Apr 2009 1:49pm Scott Schilling from San Martin, United StatesTracy, thanks for the comments and I know I already commented on this one - but it still looks great! Hope all is going well on the wedding planning - Good luck with all of the hard work!! 21 Apr 2009 6:41am bekkah from Pennsylvania, United StatesBeautiful shot, love the 'softness' of the water. You're a brave soul, I would have been completely FREAKED by the ticks!! 21 Apr 2009 12:40pm oncho from granada, SpainInsuperable,a sido la hora gusta para hechar la foto, has conseguido darle un tono fantastico al agua...great shot. 21 Apr 2009 3:57pm Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesAnother splendid time-lapse study, Tracy. Have you tried shooting these at your lowest ISO on the 40D ? 21 Apr 2009 4:12pm @Stephen Phillips: I will have to try that! sometimes I get so wrapped up in a scene, I forget to change some of the setting to get different effects! Foto-aksent from Binkom, BelgiumYour photography is fantastic Tracy! And such beautiful nature! 21 Apr 2009 4:32pm Ti from Alpharetta, United StatesBeautiful and chilly coast line! I used to live in the Bay area and from time to time will come over thru highway 92 or 17 to the coast line, just to get away from the cities and cruise down highway one. Two places I like but can't remember the names anymore. One is south of Half Moon Bay, which is favored by a lot of school field trips, where the beach is not sand but rocks extended into the sea. You have to be there at low tide to enjoy the countless sea creatures trapped / live inside those countless pockets; shrimp, fish, starfish, seaweed, etc. just facinating! Another national park is further down where you live, where you register at the office and walk half an hour or more to the beach front where the major sea lion habittat is at. An experience one will never forget to be so close to those creature. I need to go back someday.... :-) 21 Apr 2009 5:05pm Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United StatesBeautiful light...well done. 21 Apr 2009 6:49pm amy from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaStunning long exposure! Ticks... eeuuuwwww! Been fortunate with all my years of hiking and not aquiring any of those pesky hitchhikers. 22 Apr 2009 9:02am DaveB from Exeter, United KingdomNice perspective and great movement in the water, looks angry 22 Apr 2009 3:55pm |
