I'm Hooked!

I thought it would be nice to re-visit the whole reason I am still taking photos today....I took this shot on our 20th wedding anniversary trip to Sedona, Arizona. I was so happy and excited to have caught the far away lightning! The elation that I felt, knowing I had captured something special is the reason I keep going back out into the crazy weather. The gifts are there, I just hope I know where (and how) to look.

I am currently attending classes at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, in the Photography department.
I hope to someday make photography a full time profession.

Fabulous shot, Tracy. I love not only the lightning but that exquisite light on the right. Sedona is a very special place; we lived in Flagstaff through most of the 80s, and loved dropping down through Oak Creek Canyon to visit.

Dear Tracy, This is simply awesome - I see how you felt - this is probably one of those photographs that you take and then you can stare at it time and time again for the rest of your life. The light in the Desert Southwest is like no other - the clouds are just incredible - This is awesome - keep up the good work!

Barbare-Your shot caught my eye because of the tell tail rock formation of Red Rock Country. I was in Arizona and was able to capture a few images but your shot is a real winner.
