Pacific Tree FrogPosted by Tracy (La Selva Beach, United States) on 6 March 2009 in Animal & Insect. It is always nice to have some Frog Wranglers when you want a picture of one of these little guys. This frog is only about one inch long! My son & husband found a place where hundreds of these guys were living, and we spent a very fun afternoon frog wrangling! (NO frogs were harmed in the making of this image!) I am currently attending classes at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, in the Photography department. I hope to someday make photography a full time profession. Scott Schilling from San Martin, United StatesTracy, this frog has some great markings and colors - most of the frogs on our side of the hill are just plain green with lots of warts - nice catch! I love the eyes in this, they are perfect - great shot! 6 Mar 2009 3:49pm @Scott Schilling: Thanks Scott, We found him (and many of his brothers & sisters) in one of the sloughs in Watsonville, along the shore in the tall grass...there were so many different color variations, everything from browns, dark greens, light greens, tans. Many of them had stripes like this guy...Only problem---They're QUICK! EYES WIDE SHUT from United KingdomWhat an outstanding photograph, Tracey. I'm so pleased that no frogs were harmed during the wrangling! ha ha 6 Mar 2009 3:51pm Jen from St. George, United StatesBeautiful portrait of the little dude!
